The toe board is a flat protective component that limits the working deck and provides protection against the user's foot slipping, as well as against material and people falling off the deck. The toeboards are made of wood impregnated to withstand adverse weather conditions, with steel brackets at both ends for attachment to the frame pins. They typically serve as protection for the platform from the outer side of the scaffolding and, along with handrails, are mandatory components of the balustrade.
